Boxelder Bug Control

As the name suggests, these bugs commonly hang around or on Boxelder trees. They are more common in the western states, but can also be found in nearly all of Canada, as well as the majority of the US. While these insects pose no threat, they can be quite a nuisance as they seek to enter any structure in hopes of over-wintering there.

Boxelder Bugs

Boxelder bugs are harmless to humans and plant life, and are distinctive in shape and color: dark bodies with a red or orange borders on their abdomen and wings. While they are harmless, they do secrete a staining color when exterminated, and in swarms can be difficult to take care of. Paffy’s Pest Control works wonders for eliminating and preventing these pests from over-wintering in your home or property.

Boxelder Bug Treatments

Paffy’s Fall Exterior treatment treats for Boxelder bugs, Asian Lady beetles, and wasps. These common fall invaders try to find ways behind siding or inside your property to over-winter. Our Fall Exterior spray covers the entire property from foundation to soffits. It kills any of those three species on contact at any stage of life. It also adheres to the walls of the property, serving as a protective coating against those fall invaders. Once the treatment dries, which takes between one and two hours, any Asian Lady beetles, Boxelder bugs, hornets, or wasps that land on the siding will be dead within eight to 12 hours.

The Fall Exterior treatment pricing varies based on the square footage of the property, and all estimates are given over the phone. The fall treatment lasts the season, roughly three months. Paffy’s also offers year-round services, with our most reasonably priced and most effective service being our 3-Season Home Service Plan. The Fall Exterior treatment is included in this plan and is also charged per square footage of the property.
